Greg Tanner, our associate pastor of worship has been at FBC Vernon since 1984. Greg and his wife, Nina, have one daughter, Bobbi Kim, who lives in Oklahoma with her family. Originally from Illinois, Greg graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelor of Arts in church music and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Church Music.

Associate Pastor

Donovan is a father of nine children and married his wife Marinda in May of 2017. He is the son of Brandon and Jennifer Wilkinson-Brumley and, by God's will and grace, a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. A member of FBC since January of 2014, he started working at First Baptist in October of 2014 as the Facility Director of Maintenance and Upkeep. In October of 2015 he was blessed with an Intern position where he focused on outreach, and in September of 2016 he was licensed for Gospel Ministry. On December 1, 2018 he was ordained to the work of Gospel Ministry, and certifies in Biblical Studies and Theology. His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Nathan joined the staff at FBC Vernon in September 2017. He has a passion for seeing students come to know the Lord and grow in their passion for the Lord. He grew up in the North Texas heat before going to school at OBU to get a degree in pastoral ministry. Before coming on staff here at FBC Vernon, he spent a year at a church plant in Phoenix, Arizona establishing a college ministry. After much prayer and seeking, he felt led to move back to Texas and come on board at FBC Vernon to be a part of what the Lord is doing in this community. He is excited to see the gospel impact the lives of local students.

Sandra has worked at FBC for 20 years! She is very loved and appreciated for all of her hard work, we actually call her the "glue" that sticks it all together. She was born and raised in Vernon her whole life. She has been married to Henry Goodrum for 40 years and is blessed to have two beautiful daughters, Stephanie and Melanie and four precious grandchildren, Quentin, Kyla, Ryson, and Rylen. Her hobbies include reading, bowling, and spending time with her grand kids. Her favorite Scripture is Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I Am God".
